Happy Thursday! So Sunday was my BIRTHDAY, I'll still be celebrating 'till the end of this week!........oh yeah it was father's day too (shoot out to my dad, he's the best dad ever!)...I kept the celebration small with good friends and family. I've notices, whenever I've had a birthday people always ask my age, I'm usually scared tell them my age (Let's see if you can guess my age?) Seriously, my face doesn't match my age. Maybe I'll appreciate this when I'm forty...

I made a list of seven things that I will try to accomplish for being one year older:

1. For this year,  my motto is out with old and in with the new
2. Getting rid of my old clothes that I don't wear
3. Reflecting on my direction in my life (especially how to make my blog the way I want it to be )
4. Finishing things that I've started
5. My number 1 rule don't waste time on silliness straight up I'm too old for silliness
6. Striving to be the best Akinyi I can be (Hopefully, you'll like the new me)
7. Enjoying times spent with my close friends and family

Cheers to getting one year older and thanks for all the support that you all have given my blog !!!!

Happy Monday! I forgot to mention, when I went to Hilton Head Island, SC (for my friends wedding), there were so many outlets. One of the stores, I came across was the Kenneth Cole store. I originally went into the store not wanting to buy anything.  I couldn't resist, as I saw this shoe I absolutely fell in love...hahaha I tried on the shoe almost three times by the third time, I put the shoe back (crazy right?) The cashier was like your not getting that shoe it's 50% off...What!?!? I literally ran back to get them, I told you I had fell in love...Such a steal!

Well, I have a confession,......I'm a polka dot MANIAC, I have everything imaginable of polka dots....lol. To me polka dots are like the new black, they'll never go out of style. This print is incredibly playful, classic, and darn right you can wear it to any occasion. I decided to wear this dress to church, which is such a perfect church attire. What I love about this dress, you can change it from day to night by just adding more color with a bright necklace or bracelets.  Certainly polka dots are a timeless pattern, but by far eye-catching!

Happy Wednesday!  TREND ALERT: This season go buy prints and more prints by mixing & matching your favorite prints together! Try not to go to far with wearing prints that don't compliment each other (I usually find one color focus that both prints have in common that sorta matches)...Otherwise, it will look tacky, you'll know if you've made a fashion flop (This has happened to me where of gotten some weird stares!). 

My favorite print or I think I've gone a little obsessed with cheetah and any kind of cheetah print. I love wearing cheetah print tops with a bold color pant or skirt (I so wanted to wear this cheetah top with my yellow neon pants, maybe for next time?) I know if your like me you're everyday shoes aren't heels. I choose to keep this look casual with wearing my comfy spiky flats. You can't go wrong with flats so, don't be afraid to get your flat on!

SC TRIP!!!

Happy Thursday! My friend just had a beautiful wedding at Hilton Head Island, SC in a little chapel near the beach. It was small, romantic and very intimate wedding.

Hopefully, I will have some more photos from the actual wedding coming soon!!! Overall, I met some cool people at this festive and lovely event. It was so good to get away and experience a new atmosphere. I wish I could of laid out on the beach. Unfortunately, there was a massive rain storm that kept everyone indoors.

On the last day, the weather was amazing. So, you know I had to take some photos from Hilton Head Island. I would totally recommend going there because it is an inexpensive vacay!

Hello Happy Friday! It's been awhile since my last post. Now, I'm back and ready for all that blogging! I'm so thrilled to be going to a beach wedding this weekend, I hope to show you all lots of fun adventures from this trip! 

You know they say that money is not everything, but it’s a means to survive and to help others. When I put this outfit together, the green emphasized new beginnings…SPRING TIME! If you haven't notice, I absolutely love this pastel green top it reflects money. Of course, I had to compliment it with more green by pairing this top with my favorite emerald green pants and bringing it together with a plaid cropped blazer. Happy Friday!  What color can be worn all year long...you guessed it right. cobalt blue! I wanted to make my look come alive with a color that popped! This electric shade can be paired with absolutely every color imaginable from grays, pinks, reds, and even pastel colors. If you have not noticed, I love to experiment with different colors. As you mix and match colors, you develop an eye for coordinating fly outfits! I decided to use the standard black and white trend and juice it up with a bit of color. I also chose to wear two types of blacks with white stripes so it was not so uniform, but cool! How do you feel about cobalt blue and the black and white trend together, is it a good combo?

Happy Thursday! This post is dedicated to young lives that have been tragically cut short. I decided to wear this camouflage look because it reminds me of our troops that are fighting, sacrificing, and dying for our country.  Life is very precious and we can go at any time. We can die in a war or even walking down the street.  We often forget what is important in this world and do not think anything can happen to us. Life is too short and we have to live life to the fullest. I really give my condolences to Shane Gandee's family and friends. He was an upcoming MTV star on the show called Buckwild (and yes, I watched this show...it was completely hilarious) whose life was cut short at 21 years of age.  I really admired his tenacity to not care what people think and just to be himself. RIP…. Shane Gandee.  We all have one life and everyone has an expiration date. Let's be ready. Have nice day and be safe out there!
